Harry Potter actor Sir Michael Gambon died at the age of 82

Michael John Gambon’s death was announced by his wife Lady Gambon and his son Fergus Gambon, who said he was a wonderful man. He said that you should stay with us in all these difficult times and pray for the peace of his soul. Sir Michael John Gambon dies aged 82. There was a rush of people expressing grief on social media. All the actors and actresses have expressed grief.

Sir Michael John Gambon was a very famous actor who received the Olivier Award which is a great honor. He played an excellent role in Harry Potter and the Singing Detective. 

Some things about Sir Michael Gambon

Michael John Gambon was brought into the world in the Cabra suburb of Dublin on 19 October 1940. His mom, Mary (née Hoare), was a sewer, while his dad, Edward Gambon, was a designer employable during The Second Great War.

He has done very good acting in many films but there are a few characters of his which no one can forget and that is Professor Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter who was a wonderful character.

At age 24, Gambon wrote a letter to Micheál Mac Liammóir, the Irish theatre impresario who ran Dublin’s Gate Theatre, accompanied by a CV describing a rich and wholly imaginary theatre career: he was taken on

Memorably called “The Great Gambon” by Ralph Richardson, and admired by generations of fellow actors, he excelled in plays by Pinter, Bechet and Ayckbourn. It was Ayckbourn who directed him in 1987 in Arthur Miller’s A View From the bridge, which won Gambon an Olivier award for his performance as the conflicted Brooklyn longshoreman Eddie Carbone. Gambon also starred in Ayckbourn’s ambitious trilogy The Norman Conquests. Other key roles included the restaurateur returning to visit a former lover in David Hare’s Skylight, which earned him a Tony award nomination on Broadway in the mid-90s.
