Mahatma Gandhi is also known as the Father of the Nation of India. He was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar. Porbandar is a city of Gujarat and this year is his 154th birth anniversary. Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2nd October. He was a freedom fighter of the country and played a big role in liberating the country, that is why we pay him a tribute every year.

2 October is a national holiday in the country. His full name is Mohandas Karam Chandra Gandhi, whom we also call father and people call him by many names. Who dedicated his life to the fight for India’s freedom and advocated the path of truth and non-violence.
